The keel-laying ceremony for Oceaya, the world’s first modular floating multi-purpose entertainment venue, took place September 12, 2024, at the Marketex Marine assembly shop in Tallinn, with representatives from Marketex Marine, MEYER Floating Solutions, Oceaya LLC, and the leading international classification society, DNV, taking centre stage as key figures of the event.
In keeping with tradition, a metal plaque bearing the names of the commissioning company and the shipbuilders, decorated with coins representing the participating countries, was affixed to the first block of the platform.
The event was marked by the ceremonial signing of a document commemorating the occasion and the next phase in the construction of the Oceaya platform.
The Oceaya floating platform, designed to be adjusted in shape and size to suit the needs of various events, can seamlessly relocate across the globe. This versatile venue will not only host a wide array of events but also support scientific research initiatives.
